THE SINK AND GAS STOVE IN YOUR KITCHEN CAN SPOIL YOUR RELATIONSHIP

The south-east corner of any house is considered to be the most suitable for the placement and construction of the kitchen. This is because fire symbolically is triangular in shape and governs the south east quadrant of every plot. Hence, kitchen being an integral part of any house, its placement should be absolutely according to its ideal direction as instructed in Vastu doctrines. Wrong placement of the fore element can result in causing major disturbances among family members that too in the most critical manner.

When I speak about the ideal positioning of the kitchen within a residential property, I even stress on the right positioning of the sink and the gas stove which equally play a significant role in determining happiness and well being for its occupants. However maintaining proper spacing between the stove and the sink is also mandatory so as to sustain the well being of the house.

There happens to be a direct connectivity between the placement and positioning of the sink and the cooking range within a kitchen as incorrect placement of any of these elements can hamper the efficiency and health of the people living within its premises, especially the women folk. The sink should be ideally placed in the north-east direction while the gas stove should be ideally placed in the south-east. The refrigerator, however, should be placed in the south west portion of the kitchen. This is the most ideal and efficient triangle for the positioning of both the fore and the water element within a kitchen.

Many a times, it has been seen the above three elements have been placed in a straight line, however, such a positioning is only acceptable if the sink and the gas stove are placed at maximum proximity as both these elements, if placed together, can create undue friction within the family and thereby hamper family peace and happiness. Hence, Vastu recommends building a good gap between the water element (sink) and the fire element (gas stove). Separation of these two  elements is highly essential in order to nullify the undue and unwanted negative effects that may ponder upon gradually with passage of time.

In case the situation does not permit increasing the gap between the sink and the gas stove, then in that case Vastu suggests blocking the region between the functional parts of both the elements by using a wooden plank, a curtain or glass. Any of these material scan be ideally used to create the natural gap between the two elements, but wooden plank is the best.
